PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
When you order or correspond with Asterisk Books and Labels, we retain the personal information you provide including name, email address, mailing address and order details. This is never shared with third parties and is only used for the business authorized by you. The information is stored on a secure hard drive, not on the cloud. On request, we can delete any and all information from our files.
INFORMATION COLLECTED AUTOMATICALLY
We also collect and log Internet or other electronic network information on how you access and use our website, for example, the act of visiting specific pages or accessing images. Usage data is collected through cookies, and similar technologies by Google Analytics and Statcounter with which we maintain accounts. These providers are bound by their Privacy Policies to safeguard that information.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Pricing and terms of sale are fully described on the Order/Options page. We will not proceed with making labels or performing other services without your consent via email approving a design proof and agreeing to the pricing.
Extra fees may be charged for the following:
* More complicated designs that require preparation for foiling. You will be notified in advance with an estimate.
* Designs that require two foiling operations -- that is, the design does not have one dimension, either height or width, smaller than 2 1/8 inches (the width of the print head of the machine) -- fee is 20% more
* Labels with one dimension larger than 4.5 inches, no matter the other dimension -- fee is 20% more
* Use of real gold foil -- fee is 50% more than standard foil. Another 20% is added (total 70%) for labels with real gold foil larger than 4 square inches.
Satisfaction is guaranteed. Refunds for orders that don't meet your satisfaction will be made upon our receipt of the returned labels. Refunds cover the cost of labels made with standard designs and do not include mailing cost or the cost of creating custom designs as agreed to in advance.
We are not responsible for mistakes you may have missed on proofs or for damage when mounting the labels. Generally, we'll offer a discount to correct mistakes that were not our fault.
COPYRIGHT STANDARDS
Asterisk Books and Labels complies with all copyright laws:
* The designs we create are copyrighted and require our approval to be used for other purposes.
* Label designs may incorporate graphics created before 1923 which are in the public domain based on current copyright law.
* Labels reproducing missing or damaged titling on more current books are created in keeping with publisher's copyrights.
* We do not accept or use graphics downloaded from the internet without permission
